Magnet Theatre sophomores are required to have the
following items:

1.        A pair of Character Shoes.
2.        An individual Make Up Kit

These are items that are necessary for every actor to have, and so we, as a
department, will place an order for these items so that students will have them in
time to use in the first show.

While we are requiring these items for all sophomores, it is recommended that all
other students purchase them too. Below you will find information about the items
and how to order them.

Women’s Character Shoes
Pictured below. These shoes are good generic shoes to wear on stage with any
costume. They come in two colors, black and tan. Students are welcome to order
whichever color they like, we have no preference. See order form for sizing and
price information.

Men’s Character Shoes
Pictured below. Men’s Character Shoes are simple black dress shoes with a very
slight heel and rubber soles. Many boys already own these shoes. If not, they can
be purchased at any shoes store or even places like Walmart and Target.

Make Up Kits
When it comes to make up, hygiene is always a concern. To help keep everyone
safe and clean, students should purchase a make up kit to use for performances.
There are two make up kit options for students to choose from. One is a personal
kit that includes just the bare minimum necessary to do standard stage make up.
This kit costs 16.00. The second option is to purchase a Ben Nye Theatrical Make
Up Kit that comes with all of the supplies necessary to create character looks,
bumps, bruises, gashes, and fantasy make up. This kit costs 48.00. While we
recommend the full Theatrical Make Up Kit, students who are not committed to
performing often could get by with just the personal kit.
Checks can be made out to RHS Offstage.
