
Cliff McClelland Lead Director Cliff McClelland is the Director of the RHS Theatre Magnet Program. He has been teaching since 1992 and has been in Richardson since 1998. He hails from the University of Texas at Arlington where he received his Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Interdisciplinary Humanities. Cliff has written over 20 plays, 13 screenplays, and a novel and is a licensed pyrotechnician. Chelsey Rives Technical Theatre This is Chelsey’s first year teaching at Richardson High School. Chelsey earned her BA from Trinity University and her MFA from the Moscow Art Theater School and Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. Chelsey has been a theater instructor at Shoreline Community College in Seattle, Seattle Children’s Theater, and Dallas Children’s Theater. Chelsey works regularly as a professional actor in theater, film, television, commercials and voice-overs. Chelsey’s on-camera work includes, “As the World Turns”, commercial spots for Cingular and Taco Time, and several corporate training videos. Voice-over work includes audio books and motion capture/voice over in Rock Star Video Games. Chelsey’s theater performance credits include: Intiman Theater, Seattle Repertory Theater, Seattle Children’s Theater, Denver Center Theater, Actor’s Theater of Louisville, Baltimore Center Stage, The Old Globe, American Repertory Theater, and Moscow Art Theater Studio. Erik Archilla Acting Instructor and Professional Erik Archilla graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baylor University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Erik has been teaching at the Richardson High School Theatre Magnet for 5 years. He also teaches at Dallas Children's Theatre. Outside of school Erik is an actor in the DFW area, with such credits as: Brian in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Water Tower Theatre; The Student in Ghost Sonata, Drama Club; Steven in The Line, Second Thought Theatre; Charlie in Summer Evening in Des Moines, STT; Tiny Tim in Mrs. Bob Cratchett’s Wild Christmas Binge, Richardson Theatre Center; Linus in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Theatre Three; and Dromio of Syracuse in Comedy of Errors, Dallas Shakespeare Festival. Erik is also a member of FTP Comedy, and an ensemble member of Second Thought Theatre. He has done voice over work for Funimation, OcraTron 5000, and commercial radio. Erik is represented by Kim Dawson Agency. Brady C. Mims Technical Theatre Director Brady graduated from RISD in 1996 and is very excited to be teaching in the district that started him on his career path. Brady is also a graduate of the University of North Texas, Class of 2003, with a Bachelors degree in Theatre Arts with a focus on Scene Design and Technical Direction. Since Graduating Brady has worked for various theatrical design companies in the Dallas/FT. Worth area as well as the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina and The Texas Shakespeare Festival. For the last four years he has designed and built the main programming set for Project A-Kon the third largest, and longest running anime festival in the country. |
